Why see James Taylor & Bonnie Raitt?

James & Bonnie

Sweet Baby James continues to conquer the road. The native Bostonian will bring along his all-star band for this series of outdoor concerts, and he'll also be joined by a great guest as his support act - Bonnie Raitt.

The term legend doesn't do James Taylor justice. With over 100 million albums sold worldwide throughout his 50 year plus career, he's written some of the most indelible pop songs of all time, including Fire and Rain and You've Got a Friend. The flame-haired Bonnie Raitt came to prominence in the early 70s around the same time as Taylor, her stunning bluesy guitar work and powerhouse voice immediately marking her out as something special. Her most recent studio effort was 2016's Dig in Depp, featuring the tune 'Gypsy in Me' and a very special cover of INXS's 'Need You Tonight'.

James & Bonnie

Last night went to see James Taylor at the Dunk in Providence. It was probably my 20th time seeing him, and he didn’t disappoint! He has new high tech sets and screens that just made the show so personal and intimate for a good size arena! Bonnie’s voice is as clear and strong as urs ever been and their love and respect for each other was clear and that made the show so emotional and personal. They sang 3 songs together and they both had the amazing Arnold McCuller backing them up with his gorgeous vocals. His voice is slightly changed, he is almost 70 years old but he more than makes up for it with the incredible heart and life experience he puts into all of his unforgettable classics! Highly recommend seeing him!!! ... Read more

The Authors don't have a clue

These are 2 Great artists. But the Washington Theater site here, whoever wrote this, got it wrong: James Taylor did not write You've Got a Friend, Carole King did. I'm sure James and Carole could care less about this mistake, but if you're a pro, don't assume, do some research before you write on your site and put it out there, Put some more effort into it next time. ...
