Jazzwise
Nashville Symphony Orchestra is joined by jazz saxophonist Branford Marsalis - of the famous Marsalis family of multi-generational jazz musicians - for a performance of John Williams' brilliant saxophone concerto Escapades for Alto Saxophone and Orchestra, based upon the score he wrote for the 2002 Hollywood movie Catch Me If You Can.
Led by guest conductor Rune Bergmann, NSO will also delight audiences with a rendition of Rachmaninoff's Second Symphony, a bright and beautiful work full of lyrical moments, as well as Joan Tower's Tambor, a piece which the orchestra have recorded with Tower.
